1. What is Need?

Do you have a big dream, desire or a simple need? Imagine an app that allows you to do whatever you want, when you want, where you want and above all with whoever you want. All this is Need. Need can be defined as a “social discovery platform”: an app that promotes social interaction and encounters between users in a new, simple and fun way. We want to encourage meetings that are not strictly related to the mere knowledge of a dating partner, but aimed to share an experience with someone else. Be it man or woman, be it single or married. There are no limits, just like the dreams or wishes of each of us should be!

How Need works is really very simple and can be summarized in 4 simple steps::

Need is currently available on iOS devices (currently supports iOS 10.0 and above) and Android (Android 6.0 and above).

6. What is the minimum age required?

The minimum age required to use Need is 18 years.

Account registration and settings

1. How can I create my Need account?

Welcome to Need! The first thing you have to do is create a Need account by following the steps below. The various steps may vary depending on your device.

2. Can I register with my phone number only?

Yes, at this stage we have decided to make the application more secure, without external logins. That's why we preferred the connection by phone number.

3. How can I change my personal profile?

To edit your information, tap the Profile icon , then tap the Pencil icon to edit your bio ("Edit info ") or the Camera icon to update your photos ("Edit photo ").

4. How can I change my profile photo or add new photos?
To edit your photos just follow these steps:

Remember, your profile photo is the one that appears at the top left of the “Your photos” section.

5. How do other users see my profile?

To understand how other users view your Need profile, you need to follow these simple steps:

6. How can I change my name if it is wrong?

For now, there is no way to independently change your username after registration, however we will be happy to help you by doing it ourselves. Contact us and let us know how you wish to change it and we will do it asap.

7. My profile shows the wrong age. How can I change it?

If the age on your profile is incorrect, our support team will be more than happy to help you!

Contact us here communicating the need to change the date of birth and specifying the correct date.

8. How can I request a copy of my personal data?

At Need, we are committed to protecting our users' data and privacy and allowing them to have access to any information that has been provided to us.

If you would like a copy of your personal data, please follow these steps:

If you have deleted your Need account, it will not be possible to export the data since you are no longer the owner of an account. After deleting the account, in fact, the data is removed in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

9. How can I delete my Need profile?

Deleting your profile is very simple but remember that this will permanently lose all compatibilities, messages and other information associated with your account. To delete the account:

10. How can I manage alerts?

At the moment, it is not yet possible to manage the notification settings directly on Need but it is necessary to act on the general settings of your device:

iPhone: Go to iOS Settings> Notifications> Need

Wishes, applications and messages

1. How can I post my wish on Need?

We all have needs and desires to fulfill. Everyday. Desires that we often fail to materialize due to lack of time, lack of knowledge or simply because no one in our circle of friends wants to indulge our madness. Well, forget the “I wish but I can't” because thanks to Need you can find a lot of people ready to make your every wish come true in just 24 hours. How? Follow these simple steps:

Remember, your profile can be viewed by other users only if you have a published wish: express many wishes to increase your accounts and maximize the fun!

2. Can I delete, modify or renew a wish once posted?

For now, wishes cannot be changed once posted. However, you can delete them or renew the 24-hour countdown whenever you decide. To be able to do this, simply follow these steps:

Remember, if you cancel the wish or if it expires, you will lose all applications related to that wish that have not yet been accepted. Also, your profile will no longer be viewable by other users. So make a new wish to become visible again!

3. What happens in the Home of Need?

The Home of Need is the section of the app where you can view the wishes (and therefore the profiles) of the users around you. Move the cards up or down to interact with our platform:

Swipe up: candidates to satisfy the desire of another user if you are interested ("Let's do it!"). Swipe down: Ignore another user's wish if you don't like it (“Ignore”).

4. Can I cancel an Application or a “No”?

You've made a mistake? Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to undo the last action done ("Let's do it!" Or "Ignore") but we promise you that this feature will be implemented very soon.

5. Can I search for any specific users in the Need home?

On Need it is not possible to search for a particular person because the profiles of other users will be shown to you randomly and based on the search parameters you set.

6. How can I change my search preferences?

Filters are the Need feature that allows you to change your search preferences and then select which users are shown to you. You have already set some filters when creating the account but they can be changed at any time by pressing the "Filter" button.

Gender identity
You can decide to view the profiles of others by filtering them by sexual identity.

Age range
To sign up for Need, users must be at least 18 years old. You can adjust your age group preferences using the sliding scale.

Distance
Need allows you to view the profiles of others up to about 150 km from your current location. To expand or narrow the suggestion area, simply change the distance preferences at any time using the sliding scale.

Desire category
You can decide to display only specific categories of wishes by pressing the relative icons.

Press the "Confirm" button to save the search parameters you have set.

7. Can I use Need without giving localization authorization?

No, it is necessary to authorize Need to access your location data while using the application in order to view who is in your area. However, if you don’t wish to do, you will be able to interact with the affinities you already have and people will see your last position on your profile.

8. How do I activate Location Services for Need on my iPhone?

10. Can I change my position?

No, your position is automatically detected by the GPS. If you are interested in meeting people from another city in the future we will study how to make you change your position using a special function. It's just a matter of time!

11. Why do I see users from zones outside the one I have selected?

Need will first show you the users in your vicinity. Once you have interacted with all of them, our system automatically finds the nearest locations and will show you the contacts of those areas: we don't want you to run out of users with whom to share your every wish!

12. Someone has applied for my wish, what do I do?

That good news! Someone is ready to fulfill your wish. To find out who, follow these simple steps:

Remember, the candidates left pending disappear when your wish expires and can no longer be recovered: be careful not to miss any opportunity!

13. Can I recover an unsuccessful application if my wish has expired?

No, it cannot be recovered at this stage. However, we are working to make available, in the future, the possibility of giving you second chances!

14. I unintentionally deleted an application, what do I do?

When you delete an application, the profile of the user in question disappears from the list of candidates in your "Candidates" section. Unfortunately, the rejection of an application is an irreversible action that cannot be undone.

15. How do messages on Need work?

Connections are a double-way. Before a conversation can begin, both users must first have expressed themselves positively towards the other's profile: On the one hand there is a user interested in someone else's desire and who, therefore, has sent his application to satisfy it. On the other hand, whoever expressed the wish must accept the application received.

16. Can I delete a message?

It is not possible to delete individual messages on Need. However, you can remove entire conversations the moment you cancel compatibility with someone. When you cancel a compatibility, you will disappear from the "Messages" list of the user in question which, in turn, will no longer appear in yours.

To cancel a compatibility, enter the chat of the user in question and tap the "Trash " icon in the upper right corner.

Remember that canceling a compatibility is an irreversible action.

17. How do I report someone?

You can report users you are compatible with and those you are not compatible with. To report someone with whom you are not compatible (user with photo and / or inappropriate wish), enter "Home" section > select the icon with the three dots at the top right of the user photo > Report. User safety is of the utmost importance to us. Make sure you cancel compatibility with possible suspicious users and report suspicious behavior by contacting us qui.

Instead, to report users with whom you have already created a connection, enter the chat of the user in question and tap the icon with the three dots in the upper right corner next to the Trash > Report.
